Our Love Story Part 3

Open House In Texas 2009

He returned early march and I med him when he got off the buses. You can read about the longest day ever here. We took him to dinner, and back to my home for a few hours before returning him to base. The next night he came down and hung out with me. We instantly fell right back to where we left off. We talked constantly and I couldn't be happier. He was going to take leave and go visit his family in Texas. Unfortunately because of how far along I was we decided it was just not safe for me to travel. So I stayed in California. I was so sad. I missed him so much and counted down the days for him to return.

We started talking marriage again and I knew I wanted to marry him. I just wasn't sure when. He would come down almost every weekend, and stay with us. I cried every sunday when he had to leave. May 3rd came and went and no baby. May 10th We drove to the hospital together in the most beautiful silence I have ever heard. I could feel our child moving and I was sitting next to the man I loved. The entire night and next few days were a blur. We welcomed our son. Scott never left my side. I was in love.

Wedding talk got more serious. There was never any grand proposal. It was something we just knew we wanted. I loved him and he loved me. That was all we needed. After much thought and debate we decided to go the justice of the peace route. His brother was on mission for our church and he wanted his brother apart of our wedding. We knew it would be easier for the military being married so on June 6, 2009 we loaded up our tiny baby and drove to the court house. with my parents and sisters and our sweet baby boy we said I do. It was simple and absolutely perfect. I couldn't imagine it happening any other way. We have been through so much in the last five years. Some days are harder then others. Some days we struggle. But in the end we always love each other. What more could a girl need?
