16 Months

Monkey turned 16 months on the 11th. TIme is going by so fast.
His vocabulary is improving and he amazes me every day with what he learns.
At 16 months Monkey:
Weight:21 lb
Height:31 In.
Words:shuice(juice),hoos(shoes),itty(pretty-generally only said after we say it),balbal(ball),teees(cheese), dag(dog), f-f-f(woof),O(a really raspy o sound...surprised, excited about something), fis(fish), ook(book), mama, dada, nana, naaaana(One is banana and the other is nana...although he says each diferently depending on what/who he is trying to talk about). And my favorite new word...Baybay(baby) it sounds so stinkin' cute.
You wave bye bye and give high-fives. You cry when someone leaves our house and you don't get to go. You just started to give yoru dada hugs...but won't give your mama any.(It is ok, I promise I am not too sad by this) You give loves when mama asks for them, and sometimes you just run up to her with your fish kisses and then go back to what you were doing. You throw out your own diapers now(and are so proud of yourself when you do). You are officially off the binks, but you wont nap without your blankets(2). When you want to leave, you bring me your shoes. You get so excited when we let you walk by yourself...if only you would stop trying to run into the street. You clap to music and as much as your dad hates it, lady gaga gets you dancing the most. You have had stitches, 3 right above your right eye. You learned how to open the screen door all by yourself. When we say bath, you start to take off your shirt and pants. You are slowly learning how to get yourself dressed, you like to try to help mama in the mornings. You love watching Kipper, and The Wiggles. You love french fries, cheese, pickles, and whatever else dada gives you. You love to sit in my lap and play with my makeup brushes when I get ready in the morning, but you are truly a dada's boy. You love being outside, animals, books, snuggles with dad, putting clothes into the baskets or wash & dryer. You have figured out your own way to communicate with us. You love to watch yourself in the mirrors. You laugh just because you can...and unfortunately it sounds a lot like my laugh. :)

Monkey, Your are absolutely amazing. I am so incredibly lucky to be your mama. You will never fully understand just what you mean to me & your dad. We can't wait to see how much you learn in the next month. I didn't know I was capable of loving someone so selflessly until you were born. Your have made such a difference in our lives. We love you.
