Today.

I registered for my fall classes tonight. Only three classes. But, they are 3 units/credits each...and I have Monkey with me 24/7 so I think my plate is full in the schooling department...for now. I am excited. It makes me want to run out and buy a pretty new notebook...and pens. But I have a TON of paper and writing utensils so I don't think husband would approve of that charge showing up on the atm card. Oh well.
Last night husband did not come home. He was gone for 24+ hours. It was the first time since he has been home that we did not sleep in the same bed. It was strange. Luckily my good friend Amanda and her little boy had Monkey & me over for din din. She invited another friend Heather and her little boy Gavin over too. It was so much fun. We all three are Marine Wives. Have boys & for two of us were without our men for the night and one of us...for the next three months. (Rhett just left as combat replacement, please keep him & his family as well as all of our other brave men & women in your thoughts & prayers) When Heather & I left Amanda's at 9ish, we came over to my place where we hung out until 11. Neither one of us were into sitting alone in our apartments. I was able to clean up my kitchen, living room & dining are before calling it a night. I fell asleep on the couch and eventually crawled into bed. It felt strange not being next to husband. I was not quite sure what to do. I kept tossing and turning, and eventually landed on his side of the bed.
Sometime around 8 I was woken up by husband coming in. It was the best.
Monkey and I spent the rest of the day folding some laundry and putting some of it away.Monkey has started to get into the Wiggles. He bounces in his seat to the music and gets excited and says "dag dag dag" when wags the dog comes out. Husband started to not feel good, so we let him sleep a lot today. Monkey got to see him after his nap and for a little bit after din din. Hoping husband is not too sick, he usually feels like this after he has been up for a while...and 24+ hours seems like it would be the cause of his current illness.
Life is good. Although I will not be looking forward to the next couple of weeks. But more on that later.
For now Monkey needs to go to bed and there are some movies on netflix calling my name.
Does anyone who has netflix, and the instant view...have any suggestions for movies or t.v. shows to watch?

Hi,

I really like your blog. I am a casting director for a docu-reality series sponsored by the USO about military families awaiting the return of a loved one stationed overseas. This series is about how the family prepares for their service member's return and highlights the bravery, sacrifice, and courage military families need to have. I would love if you submitted to be part of the series. You can find an online submission form at www.roadtoreunion.com or email me directly at roadtoreunioncasting@gmail.com for more information.

Thank you so much,
Chris
