"Crafter"

I will never say I am a "crafter". I try. I try really hard. Sometimes I FAIL. Sometimes I don't. I just like things to be cute. One day I will be super crafty and think of tons of things all on my own. This is one of those I thought of on my own but in no way is it anything to blog about. But since I am sitting at the table watching Monkey eat his yummy quesadilla and fruit I have nothing better to do.
When we first moved in, we discussed what to do with Monkey's room. He has a white crib. (Gifted to us) We needed a dresser for his mound of clothes but had a HARD time finding one we both loved and that matched the crib. Soon he will be moving to a toddler bed and will get a whole new room so we decided to go for a cheaper temporary solution. In comes these beauties.

They will one day be storage in my craft room...that does not exist. Yet.

Yea super UGLY, but whatever. I wanted something semi-durable. Since Monkey has already decided to continuously hit them with all sorts of toys.
I was going to cover the inside so you couldn't see into them. Give it a little sumthin' but decided I liked being able to see things quickly. So I thought of making these.

Just a little sign that had what was in the drawer. I am so glad we have a printer! I added a general picture of the object to help teach Bradley where things were. Although he is not anywhere near getting his own clothes out yet. He is starting to recognize certain things. He does know where his socks are and that is about it. One day he will know where everything is...until then I guess I will be putting away and picking out his clothes.

At least he is no longer living out of boxes and suitcases when it comes to his clothes!
I also love that it makes it easier for husband to find things when he gets Monkey dressed, or when my mom is watching him, or anyone besides me is getting him ready. (Which never happens...or rarely happens...but still)

I have the same little dressers. They're our temporary dressers/nightstands until we move down to California and get a more permanent apartment. That's such a cute idea though!
