Ice, Hockey & Santa

Texas was the receipient of a HUGE ice storm. It was pretty crazy to witness. Overnight a thick sheet of Ice blanketed our city. My poor compass was frozen shut. It was an adventure trying to walk anywhere. For the most part we stayed inside. We did venture out once over the weekend... but it was short lived. Walking on the ice became more like sliding and trying really hard not to fall.

HOCKEY! I was able to score AMAZING seats thanks to my even more AMAZING boss to a Stars Hockey game. We sat three rows back from the goal and had an amazing view. B loved it. Thankfully we won so the energy in the crowd was even more exciting. It was so much fun and getting to see the players up close made for a fun night.

Christmas seemed to speed by this year. I still am struggling with it now being 2014. Some of the highlights from the Christmas season included getting to enjoy down town Mckinney's christmas celebration. Bradley sat on Santa's lap and even enjoyed a ride on the courosel. Of course we decorated the tree and enjoyed some of the traditions of Christamas movies, and writing letters to Santa. B was of course spoiled by all of our wonderful family members and friends.

We are so lucky to have so many people who love him(and us). Santa thought B was such a good boy this year that he surprised him with a scooter and his recent favorite Ninja Turtles toys.

We spent Christmas Eve with Scott's family. All of the sibliings (with the exception of Brooke) were there along with ALL seven grandchildren. It was chaotic but lots of fun. We chose to spend Christmas day home with just the three of us. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy one another. We cooked our own(and FIRST) Christmas dinner and ate way too much. We think we might make this our new family tradition.
