In September we took a little trip to San Diego for a wedding & some fun family time. It was a VERY quick trip and we stayed pretty busy. The first day husband chose the activity. We visited the USS Midway Museum. B walked and had such blast exploring the huge ship.
We stopped for breakfast before heading out. B was so excited to be with his nana and aunts again.
B did really well with all of the walking. He was fascinated by the planes he could actually climb in. We met a man who had served in World War II. He was so kind and fun to talk with. B did really well and it was the first day he stayed dry in undies ALL day! We were so proud!
The next day we headed up to visit Husband's sister Brooke and her soon to be husband Scott for some lunch. They live up north so we got to enjoy a very pretty view.
Friday was spent at Knott's Berry Farm. Scott's sister Amber and her husband Clay joined us. We rode all of the rides with very short wait times. B met snoopy who he now LOVES. And the biggest achievement B rode on a ride all by himself!
B had such a great time. I think it was the first time he really enjoyed an amusement park! At one point my mama (Nana) took him to play a carnival game and after checking that he would win a prize no matter what color duck he picked won a giant blue teddy. My mom said he actually picked the correct duck and they didn't even help him!
I wish I could of captured the moment his face lit up when he saw snoopy. Unfortunately someone told him to run. Sad day for mama. He was smitten with the "giant dog".
We were so excited and shocked when B wanted to ride on a ride all by himself. We had tried earlier in the day but he was not going for it. This one he did all on his own and LOVED it. We took B to the gift shop and he got to pick out his new best friend. (Who now has a permanent spot next to him in bed along with Blue Bear) We were barely out of the parking lot before he fell asleep in the car.
Saturday we attended the wedding while the aunts took B out for a fun day at Sea World.
It was a gorgeous wedding and we were so glad we were able to attend. Brooke (Husband's sister) was gorgeous. The wedding was held at a beautiful golf course/country club. It was definitely a fun party.
B had a blast at Sea World. He loves seeing all the fishes.
The next day we packed up, had one final family meal and headed back home to Texas.
We had a great mini vacation but as always we were happy to return home.
