We were lucky enough to be able to take a vacation and visit my family back in California. My first day of vacation was the 26th. The majority of that day was spent taking B to get his flu shot(he actually got the spray, in his nose and enjoyed it), and running errands to get ready for the trip. Once we got home everything started to pile on. I had LOADS of laundry to get through, a two year old to entertain, lots of packing to complete and the entire apartment to clean. Husband and I crawled into bed close to two a.m. on Thursday morning.
We were up, ready and headed to the airport by 5:30. B seemed excited but he was mostly very tired.
We arrived at the airport, parked our car and B was starting to show his excitement. He wanted to carry his own "Yuggage" and walked proudly wheeling the suitcase behind him. He was beyond excited to walk on the moving side walks.
We made it through security quickly. We had some time to spare so after grabbing some breakfast we sat down near our terminal and let B watch the planes.
Once we boarded, he did pretty well on the airplane. He got pretty restless in the end, but I wouldn't expect much else from a two year old. We made it until we were beginning to land before he even cried. As soon as they took of the seat belt light, I stood up with B and he was quiet.
I wish I could of taken a picture of B's face when he saw Nana waiting near baggage claim. He was so excited! I am pretty sure I ran down the stairs.(Thank goodness I was graceful for once and managed to stay vertical)
We waited for a few minutes for my younger sister Ashley to arrive.
We dropped off our bags at my mom's house and went out to grab lunch. It was so yummy and so much fun to be with my sisters again. We went over the game plan for the rest of the day and decided it was best to relax and watch the Rangers (lose) the world series (for the second year in a row). I was craving some Golden Spoon frozen yogurt and made a few texts to some friends in the area and decided to meet for a treat.
