Firsts.

Monkey had his very first play date.

One of the guys from husband's unit he deployed with to Iraq(First Deployment) has a little boy just a tad bit older then my monkey. (The also have a two year old daughter).

The wife is a SAHM and so we finally were able to get together. We met at a cute little park close to my home.

I was worried about monkey. He has not really had the opportunity to experience a play date. well really playing with children in general.

Monkey did great. After a few minutes of sitting on the ground he slowly made his way over to the actual playground. Constantly looking back at me with his "am I getting in trouble?"face.

I loved it.

He was so cute playing with the other kids and was so excited to test his boundaries.

My good friend from high school goes beach camping every year. Last year monkey was just a few weeks old so I opted out of beach camping. This year we drove up to her site for a few hours and let monkey explore the wonders that is the beach.

He ate sand. He fell in the water. He played in the sand.

The weather was not so great. Luckily it was not very cold.

I just love little boys in swim trunks and those darling little swim shirts.
Yay for protection from the sun!

Next week hopefully we will be making another trip to the beach. One of the men in husband's unit is leaving so they are having a "mandatory work party" at the beach. Luckily it is at the beach so no one is too upset about having to go and luckily families are invited! Woo!

Thank goodness husband and I are planning a beach trip before this so I can get a little color before I show my white legs to the public. You know. We must make great first impressions! haha
