This is WAY past due. Sorry. Prepare for picture overload!
I already told you guys about husbands random decsion to go ahead with the trip to Texas. We were to leave Friday after husband checked out...so Thursday night after running last minute errands, Bradley and I made a list and began packing. It didn't take too long. Luckily I was smart and decided to do laundry the day before. It reminded me of how much I HATE traveling with someone who can't pack their own bag, and pick out their own clothes. Not to mention the sitting in the suitcase and pulling everything that is suppose to be in there out, and packing whats not...like trash, toys, snacks and dirty clothes.
Friday morning I finished up a few things and got home just in time for husband to pack the car. Then bradley and I climbed in and we were off...
I can honestly say compared to the last time, Bradley was pretty easy. I thinked he liked being able to see everything going on outside, trees, cars...then lots and lots of nothing.
We stopped at our normal place right outside of El Paso. Bradley was so ready to get out of the car. He became a crazy man crawling all over the bed I had to literally pin him to my chest to get him to calm down and sleep. (I barely slept)
We made it into McKinney by 7 Saturday night. I was so ready to be out of the car. I think we all were.
The weather while we were there was pretty nice. Luckily no rain! We were able to see a lot more this time thanks to the decent weather.
Husband took me to the JFK musueum which I LOVED. (I love history) I was silly though and didn't get any pictures. :( We took Bradley to the Dallas Aquarium. It was so much fun. He loved all the fish, birds and everything else that was at his level. We went bowling with husbands's mom, dad, brother and nephew. Husband went fishing with his dad, and started painting again!(He is an amazing artist) We went to this hotel witht the prettiest courtyard I have ever seen. We took husband's, brother and nephew to see Shrek 3.(Not my favorite but still super cute) We spent time in the pool. (Monkey loved the water) The only downside of the trip was only getting to spend a few hours with his sister Amber and her family in San Angelo. (Hopefully next time we can see them for a bit longer!)
We both decided we loved being with family. But nothing beats just being with your little(or big depending on children) family.
We got back to our place unpacked the car and just crashed.
There is nothing like a vacation to make you miss your home. (And bed)
