More then a barbecue.

This memorial day. I reflected on all of those brave men and woman who lace up their combat boots and fight for us. Who sacrifice so much, and some all. I thought of Cpl. Porto, his family and the many others just like them. I thought of my husband and his friends who do it "because they love it". I am so greatful for their sacrifices, for their coureage and for their strength.
I am honored to be married to a man who wears his uniform with pride and when thanked for serving simply replied "I love my job".
I hope you all took time to remember those who have passed, and those who continue to fight. Remember today is more then just a free day from work or school. It goes beyond barbecues, pool parties and getting a tan at the beach. (Although those are good to...)
Today is one of the days I look at the "frat house" american flag hanging on my wall and am truly thankful for everything it stands for instead of being annoyed that my home sometimes resembles a "frat house".
