Monkey is almost 1.

Monkey will be 1 on the 11th. I have a breakdown today. It was sad. heard him talking on the monotor, it woke me up. I just cried. He has grown and changed so much...but Ill get into that when I do his birthday post.
Well Saturday we are having his birthday party. (Which is hilarious for babies) Just invited the family over and a few family friends. I am calling it his "cupcake" party. It is not a huge thing. But I am still making it special. First birthdays are important. For him and for me. It proves I can do this mothering thing...I made it through the first year, 7 months of it on my own. I can do this...I think...
Well Monkey is going to have a sleepover at nana's house tonight. So husband and I can get things done without worrying about him getting into things hes not suppose to.
We started easing him off the bottle and onto milk. He loves it. He is getting so much better at feeding himself as well. Last night I made creamy shrimp alfredo with tomato and basil. I didn't add the spicy suace because I am not a fan of heat like that...and i needed to keep it monkey friendly. I LOVE when what we are eating works for monkey. I just pulled some noodles, cut them down and put a little of that sauce on it, minus the shrimp and what I know he can't break down. Gave monkey a few green beans and his milk, he just sat in his chair silently eating, with the occasional, mmm mamama mmmm. That means he likes it. Definatly adding that recipe to my keeper list.
Husbands looking at buying a second car... Which I am in favor of. One more payment and the truck will be payed off(thank you deployment). I told him the new one was mine, since he has the truck. He uses the "but baby, you would look dead sexy driving the truck" thing. Please I would look good driving anything...the new car is mine! haha

Now I need to go back Monkey's overnight bag and make a list of things I need for his cupcake party...
