Busy work. Easy day.

So I am starting a countdown. In my head. Since I don't have the exact date yet. However in a little more then 1 week husband will be starting his long journey home. I of course have a list a mile long of things I want to/need to/really should but probably wont complete before he returns. I was writing down the list today and realized it is mostly just busy work. Stuff that is going to keep me occupied until he arrives.
We will be living out of suitcases and boxes until we move into our own place. So I want to make that as easy as possible. Organizing my piles on the floor. Creating a system so when husband is in the mix it is simple for him to find what he needs.
Today however I was so not even close to being motivated. My good friend Lauren called and wanted to take the monkey to the zoo with her friend and another little one who was just about two weeks older then monkey. I of course agreed, any time someone wants to take him for a few hours I won't complain. Well this other little one is a girl. Monkey apparently was flirting with her all afternoon and stealing her cheerios. :) I think this is a big sign that monkey will be taking after husband in the dating department. Totally not shy with the ladies, and the biggest flirt on the planet! So ladies, lock of those toddlers, monkey is lovin' the older women!
I pretty much took my time showering, and getting ready. No makeup today. I planned outfits for welcoming husband home. Pulled out the hoop earrings. (Husband thinks I look like I am 12 when I wear my "stud" earrings) I tried on some pre-baby clothes to see how close I was to fitting them again... put them back in the box. :( So sad. Looked online for some more things for the house..stuff we still need. Took a nap...and then Monkey was home.
What a great afternoon.
Less then 3 weeks....Praying it goes quickly.

So are you guys going to live off post then? You should just apply for on post housing and then if you find something off post then cancel your wait list spot. Just to get on it if you guys are considering it. I keep resisting planning all the fun stuff, well at least for myself, I have 3 dresses for ellie and miles will work with anything but obviously can't predict the state of the belly by the time he actually gets home! So I am resisting for fear that I wasted time thinking about something WAY too early!

We are wanting to live off base. I think Scott has this whole thing about when he leaves work he really wants to LEAVE. haha. We have found a few places we both really like. It is just a matter of waiting for him to get back. :)
