A letter

Dear FRO.
Hi! Thank you so much for updating all of us. But I do have a few "issues" why would you send and e-mail that does not have anything to do with my husbands platoon? Seriously? You get me all excited for nothing when that happens. I do not appreciate it.
Now when you do send an update that does involve my husband I like those. Except for one thing...you use so many abbreviations and talk about so many different "groups" I get so confused. Now I am completely lost and have no idea what your talking about.
I am new to this whole marine wife life. I don't know all of  the abbreviations... you need to dumb it down. Or at least provide a key. You know where you have abbreviations listed with their definitions...a reference guide. That would be nice.
So now I wait until you respond to my e-mail and tell me what the freak you are talking about.

Sincerely,
Jessica The Most Confused USMC Wife On The Planet.

Dear Doc's Girl,
I enjoyed our conversation last night. Funny how our men are so similar. Apparently no matter what branch your in you still have the mind set of a 15 yr old hormonal teenage boy when you return from a deployment! Its nice to have a blogger friend who gets as upset as I do with the delays and such. I sincerely hope your man comes home soon and stops getting freakin' delayed. Don't forget the febreze when you pick him up. I personally bought a new bottle today... you know got to be prepared.. Not to mention you seriously hysterical and I love it!
-Jess

I have more letters but I am tired and Monkey needs a bath. He stinks.

Dear Jess,

I also enjoyed our conversation. It was some much needed distraction for a little while. I'd swear they were in the same company if they weren't in different branches of the military. The situations are too eerily similar. I don't think boys will ever outgrow their hormonal side. EVER. That's why they need us women around, we make them grow up (sometimes). I actually forgot it when I went to the store yesterday, but it's on my to do list today (since, you know, he's still not home. WHATEVER.)

You should add me on yahoo (stepin2reality) if you use it, i run it through my phone and always like some good mid-day (or whenever) banter to break up the monotony of this stupid "hurry up and wait" game. I hate this game. Whoever invented it should be publicly tarred and feathered.
