It was filled and I feel like it went by really fast. Part of me is sad it did, but a larger part of me is so so glad it did. Ill get to that later...
It started off pretty simply. Setting up lights and decorations, starting projects, making lists, shopping, shopping shopping and maybe some more shopping.
I made it a point to show Bradley bits of Christmas..."do you see the pretty lights?" "look Bradley it is Santa" "look at the presents...those are for you" and possibly my favorite of the entire month "Bradley, you need to go to sleep or else Santa will skip our house" (trust me it had been a long day and this child was not giving in to his desperate need for sleep)
We Spent the weekend before Christmas at my SIL Amber's home. It was fun. We went to see this really neat light set up they have in their town. It was a short visit but still fun. Scott called that Saturday to wish us all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, he told us he was out on yet another mission and probably wouldn't be able to call until the new year...I cried. for the first time, while he was on the phone. (At least I made it this long right?)
We went to bed so Santa could come...
I woke up to my phone ringing...
He surprised me again with a phone call! Best present ever! I was so excited I got to talk to him. And tell him about our Christmas, Bradley being more excited for paper and bows then the mound of toys he received, my amazing gifts and of course my wii!
Scott should be home in at least 3 months and 3 weeks. Which is why I am so glad Dec. seemed to fly by... We are on the last half of this deployment. I am ready for this to be over. For the next chapter to begin. I am ready for him to be home.
My best friend is getting married! June 5th, 2010! I am so excited for her! I am even more excited to be her m.o.h.
So here is to a new year...may it be a great one!
(there are more pictures...I just can't find them...oh well)
